NZIPP Iris Awards 2007 – Blair Quax – Creative – Bronze

This is a very special image for both Lauretta & Blair. It was used in a gatefold opening of their wedding invitation earlier in the year. The image itself was taken at Tuaranga Bay near Westport on the New Zealand’s South Island west coast, their ceremony location. The dramatic surf and stormy skies are typical of the region where Lauretta grew up.

2007 also marked the first time we had been awards for non-wedding images at the Iris Awards. Awards for our images in the People, Commercial and Creative categories showed a range of skills, interests and influence beyond those usually employed in wedding photography.
